Rating: - Nice, but expensive
This is a nice enough loose powder, but that's about all it is: nice enough. Yes, it does make my skin look smoother, more even, and it reduces shininess. But all powders do that, and this one doesn't seem to have any greater effects beyond any other powder I've tried. I also found that it wore off rather quickly. For me, this simply wasn't worth the price.

I've used this makeup for around 9 months now. At first it did look cakey when I applied it, but I learned I was applying to much and not buffing it into the brush correctly. Also if your face starts to look cakey you just need to clean the brush. The only part of the starter kit I didn't use was the warmth. It made my face look too orange. Since using BE my acne has disappeared. I would recommend this makeup to anyone who has sensitive skin. It also doesn't just melt off like liquid foundations do and is better for your skin. My aunt even uses this product at her beauty salon. Just try BE you won't regret it.

I was so excited to try this make up after seeing commercials/getting emails that advertised Bare Minerals as, "...crushed minerals, free of preservatives, oil, fragrance, talc and other potential irritants."
The mineral veil contains PARABENS, chemicals widely used as preservatives in the cosmetic industries. I hope they stop using these chemicals, until then I am off to find something else.

Mineral veil is a mineral powder used with Bare Escentuals mineral powder foundation or alone w/o foundation.. Works in several ways. You can use it throughout the day without messy build up that occurs with pressed powders.. After many experiments with this product ,I found other interesting uses .. You can use it to set lipstick( put on 1st apply lipstick then apply a small amount again), use it to lengthen/ volume to sparse lashes( What you do is buy some plain mascara wands at any Beauty store. dip the wand into the mineral veil and tap excess loose. Apply as you would mascara and then apply mascara), use as a base for eyes. If you have excessive oil around your eye area , Use as a base to hold eyeshadow and lessen oil build up. This product comes in 3 shades to compilment any skin tone and has a sheer to no color depending on which one you use ..I would highly recommend this product . Especially if you have oily skin.

I HAVE USED THE PRODUCT FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS. THEY ADVERTISE PURE MINERALS, AND IF YOU LOOK ON THE VEIL CONTAINER IT HAS CORNSTARCH IN IT. ON THE FOUNDATION IT SAYS IT MAY CONTAIN TITANIUM DIOXIDE,ZINC OXIDE??
