Amazon.com Review: The mitt in this two-piece set looks different, and it should: it uses a puppet-style thumb-over-finger grip for enhanced safety when dealing with extra-hot ovens. But there’s more to Kitchen Grips mitts and hot pads than just how they look. Made from exceptionally durable, heat- and liquid-resistant silicone, they can withstand temperatures up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit without scorching or transferring heat. Plus, since there's no need for padding, they're extremely thin and flexible--improving dexterity (and safety) while handling hot pans, bowls, or casseroles. Unlike standard potholders or mitts, these are also stain-resistant; simply wipe clean after using, or toss in the dishwasher. The set contains a mitt with built-in comfort grip pocket, appropriate for either left- and right-handed use, as well as a potholder sized to fit in tight spaces such as the interior of a microwave oven. (It also doubles as a trivet, to protect tables and counters from hot dishes and scorch marks.) Both are made in the USA. --Mary Park

Rating: - Can't feel the heat
I was a bit skeptical of this product, but once I tried it and realized that you really can't feel any heat with them - I love them! It gives you grip as well as insulates from the heat. Highly recommend.
