Amazon.com Product Description: The Audio Technica AT-PL50 is a fully automatic belt-drive turntable that plays standard records back at 33-1/3 and 45 RPM. It features a DC servo-controlled motor, and the tone arm is balanced with soft damping control. The integral Dual Magnet phono cartridge has a replaceable diamond stylus. The turntable comes with a removable dust cover and an adapter for 45 RPM records. All the controls are located on the front panel for easy access.
The AT-PL50 features an internal stereo phono preamplifier, and an included cable adapter lets you connect the turntable directly to amplified speakers. The preamp selector switch, located under the platter, lets you turn the preamp on or off, depending on whether the amplifier you are connecting to has a phono input or not.
