Amazon.com: The Firm videos have had a longstanding reputation as tough, effective workouts. This offering, Cross Trainers: Firm Cardio, is an interval training workout, alternating the lower body and upper body, using both aerobics and weights. This challenging workout is aimed at intermediate and advanced exercisers with stamina and familiarity with both step aerobics and weight training. Instructor Heidi Tanner leads a roomful of impossibly fit, bare-ribbed women in a rigorous workout combining weight training, step aerobics, and dance aerobics. Although more time is spent with weights than without, it's designed to keep your heart rate up the whole time by keeping the major muscles engaged and changing routines frequently. You'll need two or three sets of dumbbells of varying poundage, ankle weights, one medium step, one high step, a 2x4, a towel, and enough room so you don't trip over all the props you're not using at the moment. This workout was designed to be paired with Cross Trainers: Firm Strength on alternate days. This 60-minute 1993 video was formerly called Variety Strong Heart. --Joan Price

I own 4 Firm video tapes and rate their top at 5 stars. This tape however, really is not that good. Very confusing transition between exercises that make it difficult to enjoy the workout. It is frustrating ... Read More
